Meeting of international PhD candidates in Gödöllő

Meeting people from a different culture is one of the most important goals of international meetings. An offline gathering was organized by the DOSZ Ambassador System, with the support of the international office of the doctoral school at the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences (MATE). Over forty Ph.D. candidates from sixteen different countries attended the meeting at Gödöllő.

Mary Ann Jully Regis, a first-year Ph.D. student at the Hungarian University of Agricultural and Life Sciences said, "The meeting was a good opportunity to build professional connections and find new friends. I am looking forward to upcoming events organized by DOSZ."

The goals of the event were to get international Ph.D. candidates at MATE to know about the DOSZ Ambassador System activities, how they can get involved, and collect their views on how to improve the DOSZ's presence at MATE.

Zsuzsanna Tassy, the coordinator of the Ph.D. program at the University of Agricultural and Life Sciences said, “It was a very good meeting; indeed, we will continue. People were very enthusiastic.”

The day ended with a tour to the Royal Palace. One of the most popular tourist places in Hungary.
